“Viva la Revolution! Cuba libre! No mafia!” 

However, even though no one is going to rob or attack you, travelling in Cuba is pretty much annoying because everyone will try to scam you. So it is better always to stay alert.

How the World would look like without the Internet? Hard question. My grandfather remembers the era when TV didn’t existed, my mother remembers times when there was no internet. Me and my generation remember nothing. It seems that we were born connected. However, there is a place in the Caribbeans that might challenge this modern mode of connected.

The booming tourism sector played its role – Cuba is a country of contrasts. If someone is looking for a really western-taste friendly experience, they can easily find spaghetti carbonara, tiramisu or latte in fancy cafes and restaurants with live Cuban music. However, they will probably die out of boredom dining only with other foreigners. That’s why this story is not about that kind of Cuban gourmet experience. Sorry. But, the truth is that, you cannot say anything about the country, if you haven’t tried what locals really do and eat. So I set out on a quest to expose what actual Cuban realities regarding food are. And from what I found out, the real Cuba is far from the fancy restaurants. Here is the naked truth what Cubans really eat.

This tropical Carribean island is known as “Queen of the Caribbean” for its rich biodiversity.  Cuba is home for 368 different bird species. 25 of them is  only possible to see in Cuba and no other part of the World. Also Cuba is home to the World’s smallest bird and smallest owl “Photographer’s Guide to Birds” is now moving to Cuba. In 17 photos most common Cuban birds come to life, including a Cuban national bird – Cuban Trogon, which only exist on this island, and wild Flamingos. That are not in a zoo or in a frontyard and made out of plastic. Most of the birds, presented here are easy to spot, even without any background in birdwatching.
